ABOUT RCM

Resource Christian Music was birthed in 1981 from the Christian Resource Centre. Commencing with two families in Melbourne, Australia, the church flourished and grew rapidly. Praise and worship was a key element in the programme, incorporating the latest and best songs of the day and enjoying the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit.

Many people were drawn by the protracted and meaningful times of worship. Several pianists were among the new worshippers, most of whom could not play by ear and needed music.

To assist them, Nolene Prince laboured over piano arrangements for the choruses and songs. Thoroughly steeped in music since childhood, Nolene had extensive choir experience at school and church, completed a music degree at Melbourne University, studied singing in London and has been involved in many performances in and around Melbourne. Since about 1970 her musical expression has been devoted to Christian ministry.

The collection of arranged choruses and songs became fairly widely known and in demand, so the decision was made to print. Copyright cleared overhead projector transparencies and word books were published soon after. To cater for the continuing supply of new songs, supplements were added and recorded music was provided for these. The collection snowballed and became widely used around Australia.

Major customers include Apostolic churches, Assemblies of God, Baptist, Catholic, Churches of Christ in Australia, Church of England, Christian Revival Crusade, Lutheran, Salvation Army, Uniting Church and others.

Dennis and Nolene have been actively involved in pastoring for twenty years. This praise and worship material reflects that extensive church ministry in that it is tailored to meet the needs of the worshipping congregation.

Mission Statement: To provide Christian Praise and Worship songs and choruses to the church, in a format that meets the needs of the typical musician and congregation and to provide teaching and training in congregational and personal worship. Make sure you read the miracle story behind "Holy is the Lord of Hosts", a song that has become one of the "Golden Oldies".
